A new Chat service has commenced at Glasgow Caledonian University, enabling staff and students to interact for instant online Learner Support. The YouthWire Chat widget also allows students to collaborate and rate the level of support they have received, a real time integrated delivery and evaluation tool for a vital front line service.

For our Christmas donation this year, we have made a donation to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow. The Royal Hospital for Sick Children treats over 150,000 children from all over the UK each year.

16th-20th of November was National Anti-Bullying week and to raise awareness and offer support on the issue, You[th] Bytes displayed messages on over 50,000 PCs and provided college microsites in over 120 institutions across the UK. Four Youth Group staff were joined by a client on Sunday, September 6th for the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon. YouthMedia designed and developed a widget for The Times to feature on YouthWire, our own widget engine running on networked PCs in Universities and Colleges. Over 3000 students chose it as their preferred news provider in just over one month personalising their desktop and taking it into their social network spaces.
